2008 Premier’s Athletic Awards

Each year, the top male and female athlete in each of the B.C. Athlete Assistance Program are honoured by the Premier and Minister responsible for Sport at the Premier's Athletic Awards. These awards honour athletes who, through their commitment to excellence, hard work and determination, leave their mark on sport in British Columbia. Past recipients include Olympian runner Dianne Cummins and swimmer Brent Hayden and Paralympian wheelchair basketball player Marni Abbott and Boccia athlete Paul Gauthier.

The Premiers Athletic Award Recipients’ photos and accomplishments are displayed at the BC Sport Hall of Fame and Museum at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver.
