1. What is a recreation site?

Formerly known as forest recreation sites, recreation sites are areas Crown land outside of parks that have been made available for recreational use.  Often these are campgrounds, trails or day use areas. Recreation sites are the responsibility of the Recreation Sites and Trails Branch and many of them are managed and maintained by partners such as recreation clubs, forest companies, First Nations, local governments, contractors and other groups.

2. How do recreation sites and trails differ from Provincial Parks?

Recreation sites and trails are located on Crown land outside of parks and are not covered by rules and regulations relating to parks.
