Obtaining Heritage Property Funding
The provincial government provides funding to
local governments to assist with heritage
planning, but does not provide any funding
directly to private property owners.
If you are looking for funding assistance related to
your heritage property, you may wish to contact
non-profit organizations in the field. It may also be
useful to contact your local government, although most
do not have funding programs to assist property owners.
The
Heritage Legacy Fund supports many heritage projects
around the province.
Investment in heritage improvements are generally
left to private property owners, although there may be a
possibility of receiving compensation for loss of market
value due to heritage designation.
